I went to the mall today and spring fever is already here! All the stores had bathing suits, shorts, spring and summer dresses, sandals, etc...I couldn't believe it! But I guess they start this early, even if it's not even warm yet. It really got me in the mood though for some shoe shopping! I found a couple of cute shoes (white polka dot on black espadrilles and black flats) but didn't have time for more shopping because I had to pick up my son from school. Maybe I'll go back during the Easter sales! In other shopping news, I found a cute black Bisou Bisou handbag with gold studs on Ebay and a leopard handbag on Etsy. Also on Etsy I found a cute hawaiian styled dress for summer which will look so cute with some white or navy wedges. Here are the pics:

This year I didn't want jewelry, box of chocolates, or perfume. No thanks. I told hubby I wanted some vintage things I've had my eye on. He just laughed, but he knew I was serious. So that's what I got on Valentine's Day from dear hubby. From ebay I won this gorgeous chocolate brown velvet robe with a faux leopard trim. So yummy! Fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. So glam! Then from Etsy I bought this cute hawaiian sundress (not vintage but 1950's inspired). It has a sweetheart neckline, fitted waist and full circle skirt. And you can remove the straps and wear it a halter dress! I'm always thinking ahead to summer because it keeps me sane in these long winter months! I'm still waiting for this dress to come and I can't wait! Next I ordered this cute petite navy & white spectator purse. It's so adorable, but I expected it to be a little bit bigger than it was. I'm always in search for the perfect vintage purse. Thanks hubby for these gifts, even though you think I'm odd for loving vintage! LOL!
Well, I don't blame DH for bitching me about spending money the last few months on Ebay and Etsy. These are hard times after all, and I'm a stay at home mom, and I got carried away when I suddenly fell in love with vintage clothing in the past few months! I kind of got addicted with the ease of ordering stuff online and paying through Paypal. Scary! I mean if we were rich, that would be a different story, but...we're not. Anyway, I promised DH I wouldn't order for a while. Then I couldn't help it and got back on Ebay again, with the intention of just looking. Then I saw it, a bautiful black vintage Jantzen bathing suit. I had to have it!! Somebody was surely going to grab it! I called DH while he was working and in my sweetest voice,"Do you love me? You know tomorrow is Valentine's Day right? I'll tell you what I want and I don't want anything else!" So I told him about the vintage swimsuit and he told me to go ahead and buy it! I was so happy! He made my Valentine's Day! He really can be a sweetheart! So, that's my Valentine's Day gift and it's way better than a box of chocolates that I can't eat anyway because I don't eat sugar! I am so excited and can't wait to get it! I'll post pictures when I get it. Happy Valentine's Day hubby! I love you!
I'm getting a little carried away with online shopping, but I can't help it!!! Alot of cute stuff out there! I'm also taking advantage of hubby's generosity lately because in the past he's been kinda tight with the wallet when it came to my shopping. But I'll slow down for a while, maybe until spring time when I'll be on the lookout for sundresses & bathing suits. I'm soooo excited on my recent finds of a vintage light blue suitcase & a vintage robin's egg colored traincase (Samsonite). Both from Ebay. I also purchased 2 dolls (Barbie sized, but not Barbie.)2 beautiful pricess dresses for them, one pink, one white. 1 pair of silver cateye glasses. From Etsy I ordered 1 red polka dot shirt and 1 black short sleeved cashmere sweater, a red belt, and a few weeks ago 2 pairs of vintage cateye glasses. I want to put my prescriptions in the new one. I can't wait to get my new stuff! These are my Christmas gifts.
I'm a happily married lady and full time mom. My interests include all things vintage, especially from 1940's-50's. I'm obsessed with the fashion, hairstyles, makeup, films & music from that era. I love taking and editing pictures, spirituality, the paranormal, traveling, art, thrifting, tropical weather, tropical drinks, & sunsets.. I adore Bettie Page, Dorothy Lamour, Marilyn Monroe, Rita Hayworth & Lucille Ball. Oh yes, can't forget chocolate & red wine!
